1. Monel alloy plate and tube products are flat in shape, large in aspect ratio, and large in surface area per unit volume. This shape characteristic brings its characteristics in use:

①  It has a large surface area, so it has a strong ability to contain and cover, and is widely used in chemical industry, containers, construction, metal products, metal structures, etc.;

②  It can be cut, bent, stamped and welded at will to make various product parts. It is flexible and convenient to use, and occupies an extremely important position in the sectors of automobile, aviation, shipbuilding, and tractor manufacturing;

③  It can be bent and welded to form steel, steel pipe, large I-beam, channel steel and other structural parts, so it is called "universal steel".

      2. The production of plate and strip has the following characteristics:

①  Monel alloy plates and pipes are rolled by flat rolls, which is easy to change product specifications, easy to adjust and operate, and easy to realize computer comprehensive control and automatic production;

②  The strip steel has a simple shape and can be produced in coils. It is used in the largest amount in the national economy, and it must and can realize high-speed continuous rolling production;

③  Due to the large aspect ratio and surface area, the rolling pressure in production is very high, which can reach millions to tens of millions of newtons. Therefore, the rolling mill equipment is complex and huge, and the precision of product thickness and width, shape and surface quality control also become very difficult and complicated.
